DESCRIPTION

Equites seeks to employ a junior accounts payable clerk to assist with the day-to-day accounts payable function specifically, but not limited to data capturing, handling vendor queries, preparing reconciliations and performing vendor maintenance.

This position is being offered as permanent with long term growth opportunities and incentives.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Exceptional analytical skills, organisational abilities, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and can-do attitude with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent team player: first-rate interpersonal skills ability to interact with internal and external parties, at all levels
  • Comfortable with changes in processes and technology
  • Excellent time management, deadline focused and the ability to work under pressure
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment, and display a high degree of professional ethics

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Matric
  • National Diploma within Financial Management or Administration (advantageous)

Preferred

  • Previous experience is not required but it is preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Data capturing
  • Manage correspondence, primarily internally and with vendors
  • Assist with supplier reconciliations
  • Maintain vendor records
  • Support finance team functions
