DESCRIPTION

Equites is seeking a Utilities Administrator, capable of performing municipal accounts management for logistics and industrial properties.

Requirements

Tertiary qualification (Property or finance-related degree / diploma)

The following additional requirements would be advantageous

3 – 5 years relevant experience in a similar role
MDA software experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel

RESPONSIBILITIES

The tasks below include some of the key responsibilities which will be assumed by the employee:

Extract municipal invoices from various platforms
Review municipal invoices and liaise with municipalities regarding discrepancies
Travel to municipal offices across South Africa to resolve queries
Reconcile municipal accounts to tenant statements
Submit municipal invoices to finance for payment
Open and close municipal accounts and arrange for credit balances to be refunded / transferred.
Maintain municipal valuation and rates tracking schedule
Capture tenant rates recoveries for invoicing
Maintain tenant municipal utility deposit schedule and capture tenant utility deposit recoveries for invoicing
Obtain general and supplementary valuation roll notices
Complete municipal / ESKOM utilities service level agreements
Assist Utilities Analyst in liaising with municipalities to resolve utility queries
Log calls with municipalities in the event of electricity or water outages / disconnections
Manage complaints submitted to the Ombudsman
