Equites recently completed a 21,026m² warehouse at Equites Park, Meadowview - leased to Digistics, a subsidiary of Super Group, specialising in multi-temperature distribution to quick-service restaurants. 60% of this modern distribution centre is refrigerated and has the opportunity to expand by 5,000m². Digistics is neighboured by the Altron building, which hosts the Solar Photovoltaic System to which Digistics also has access. Digistics is in the same vicinity as DSV, Rohlig Grindrod, Geberit, and Triton Express. The Digistics facility has received a preliminary EDGE certificate from Green Business Certification Inc.
Equites recently completed a 23,268m² warehouse leased to JSE-listed technology solutions company, Altron. This modern logistics facility was completed in November 2020 and accommodates Altron’s consolidation of four divisions into one single facility. The facility’s roof hosts a Solar Photovoltaic System shared between Altron and Digistics. The facility is located in Equites Park, Meadowview and is in the same vicinity as distribution centres Digistics, DSV, Triton Express, and Rohlig Grindrod. The Altron facility joins our Lords View Premier Foods facility in achieving an EDGE Advanced certificate from Green Business Certification Inc.
Equites recently completed a 17,628m² warehouse leased to Imperial Health Sciences (IHS). This temperature-controlled facility in Equites Park, Riverfields, is located in the same park as Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology. The warehouse design incorporates EDGE principles geared towards increasing energy, water and material efficiency. This is achieved through the use and application of interventions such as LED lights, water-efficient fixtures and fittings, and the generation and use of renewable energy, to name a few. HIS’s roof hosts a shared 1322 kWp solar system, which is expected to produce around 2,177,457 kWh each year (average).
Equites is developing a 22,472m² facility on a 62 423m2 site leased to Sandvik, a global company focused on mining and excavation technology. The facility comprises three workshops, a machine test track, and a 6,567m2 head office. Sandvik’s facility is located in Riverfields – a fast-developing logistics node in Kempton Park, Gauteng, which is home to tenants such as Imperial Health Solutions, Takealot, DHL, Iron Mountain, John Deere and more. The Sandvik facility is designed and built to incorporate EDGE principles and aims to achieve a target of 42% efficiencies in energy, water, and materials.
This modern logistics speculative build is expected to have a total gross lettable area (GLA) of 8,089m², comprising of 7,711m² warehouse GLA and 361m² office GLA, with an opportunity to increase the office GLA to 722m². The location of the facility inherently makes it attractive, with distribution centres such as DSV, Spar, and Pick n Pay already well-established in the same vicinity.
